About Us

The Electrical Contractors Association of New Brunswick, Inc., is one of Canada’s oldest, most active and influential trade associations. It is incorporated under the laws of the Province of New Brunswick, Canada.

Electrical utilities and suppliers to the contracting sector are eligible for associate membership. The aims and objectives of the ECANB are outlined in our Mission Statement. All member contractors are expected to conduct their business activities in compliance with the Association’s Code of Ethics.

More about us

With certain exceptions, any person or company licensed by the province as an electrical or electrical line contractor is eligible for active membership.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Electrical Contractors Association of New Brunswick, Inc. is to promote the welfare of member contractors through collective action on matters of common concern.

EDUCATION, including expansion and improvement of training opportunities for workers in the electrical trade and administration of training trust funds for members’ management employees.

INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, including negotiation and administration of collective agreements between unionized member contractors and their unionized employees and coordination of fringe benefit plans for members’ management employees.

INDUSTRY RELATIONS, including participation in local, provincial, and national bodies created to advance the interests of electrical contractors and the construction industry as a whole.

GOVERNMENT RELATIONS, including lobbying municipal, provincial, and federal officials for legislative and policy changes beneficial to the electrical trade and member contractors.
